We are ethical breeders of Purebred, Registered Miniature Poodles based in Albany, Western Australia, dedicated to raising healthy, well-socialised pups as a part of our warm family - and soon, as a part of YOURS!

All our puppies are raised in their family pack inside our home. This ensures they are desensitised to regular household noises. They are loved not only by their human family but also by their parents and pack members, who play gently with them, teaching the puppies to be confident and well-balanced.

Our names are Brett and Vanessa, and we celebrate the joy and companionship these amazing creatures bring to our lives and family every day.

Vanessa is a primary teacher who has owned dogs all her life and is now fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a breeder.

Brett works in the survey industry and has an equally abiding love of all their animals, who all worship the ground upon which he walks.

PRICE

We ask genuinely interested new families to contact us and join our waiting list.

To ensure all new families are genuine, to hold your puppy, we require a non-refundable deposit of $500 - which comes off your final payment.

GUARDIAN: Becoming a Guardian depends on your proximity to Perth / Albany and suitability. A legally binding breeding rights contract is in place. Price is $0 to $1000

PET ONLY $3750, including your $500 non-refundable deposit.

Registered Breeders - $4500, including your $500 non-refundable deposit.

Full payment is expected to be made on or before the handover of your puppy.

If you need Intra- or Interstate transportation for your puppy, this can be arranged at the cost of the NEW Owners.

Quality and Ethical Breeding Costs!

  • We DO NOT SUPPORT BACKYARD BREEDING.

  • We DO NOT send our puppies to their new families any sooner than 8 weeks. Puppies who leave their pack and mother earlier WILL DEVELOP BEHAVIOUR PROBLEMS AND ANXIETY!!!!

  • Our dogs come from a very LONG LINE OF HEALTHY, PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY SOUND PARENTS.

  • WE RAISE OUR DOGS AND PUPPIES RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR HOME WITH LOVE!

  • We have invested in the best genetics available and ensure we produce well-rounded, emotionally stable and physically healthy puppies who have a long and fulfilling life ahead of them.

  • We follow Dogs West's strict guidelines for breeding and caring for our dogs and puppies.

  • We passed Dogs West's strict examinations and wait periods to become a Breeder.

  • We ONLY breed with sound dogs who are healthy, placid and calm.

  • We breed the rare RED coat colour.

  • We ensure our puppies are sound desensitised, groom-happy and comfortable with the processes.

  • Dog pack raised and CAT aware.

  • Personally,

    We previously owned mixed-breed dogs that were bought cheaply from friends. Our dogs developed cruciate ligament issues, which required surgery - four times! This cost over $17,000 and it took a very long time to pay off.

  • It also caused our dogs a lot of lifelong pain, requiring daily medication!

  • We WILL NEVER engage in HARMFUL breeding.

OUR PUPPIES WILL COME TO YOU WITH:

  • Sound genetics and good long-term health.

  • Placement on limited register.

  • Their 1st Vaccination and Required Worming treatments completed.

  • Only 1 follow-up worming treatment is required.

  • Vaccination booklet.

  • Microchip and Number info.

  • 6 weeks of Health Insurance.

  • A booklet of information for you to help your puppy settle into their new home. Along with breed information.

  • A sample of food for your puppy.

  • A blanket with their Muma’s and siblings’ scent on it.

  • Their keepsake gift bag.

  • Once you pay your deposit, you will be welcomed into your litter's Messenger group, receiving updates and photos.

  • We strictly adhere to our waitlist; from this, you are given the choice of available puppies.

  • Once named, we train your puppy to respond to their name, understand basic toilet training and desensitise them to household noises, cats and grooming.

  • We DO NOT CRATE TRAIN.

  • Puppies are taught to self-soothe, or if they require a cuddle, we then, while they are still awake, put them into a snuggle bed.

OUR BREEDING APPROACH

  • We strongly believe it is vital for us to be a registered breeder with ANKC - Dogs West. This organisation has the strictest standards of breeding.

  • We have been loyal customers of Albany Vet Hospital for over 30 years.

  • Lola, Molly and Jara are from long-term, well-established, reputable breeders who have ensured their breeding stock does not carry genetic issues.

  • All our breeding dogs and pups are tested by ORIVET Genetic testing. The results can be provided upon request.

  • We’ve chosen not to hip and elbow score our dog because hip and elbow health depends on many things:

    1. Genetics - our dogs do not have any inherited cartilage/bone or muscle syndromes or diseases. They are free from Osteochondrodysplasia. As they come from a long line of parents who do not have any hip or elbow issues, we feel secure in the knowledge that the chances of our dogs having issues would be very small.

    2. Weight - an overweight dog WILL have hip and elbow issues. All our dogs are kept at optimum weight.

    3. Nutrition - we feed all our dogs Royal Canin and top-quality raw or home-cooked meat. We follow our vet’s advice, ensuring our dogs are raised on optimal nutrition.

    4. Environment—Too much exercise for puppies too young will damage joints and cartilage. We are very careful not to overexert our puppies and provide them with a safe and secure environment so that they cannot hurt their joints in any way.

Guardianship

  • We are looking for the right people to join our Guardianship program.

    Some of our puppies are sold as ‘Guardian Girls / Boys’

    What does this mean if you purchase one of our Guardian puppies?

  • You and Cherry Lola are the legal owners of your puppy (Guardian Girl) - but we retain her breeding rights!

  • Your Guardian Girl will be mated ON her 4th heat (2 years old).

  • When we have a litter with your Guardian Girl, you will receive a $1000 payment per litter.

  • We will cover ALL birthing costs!

  • We will cover ALL vaccination costs.

  • Your Guardian Girl will temporarily stay with us ONE week before her due date.

  • Then your Guardian Girl will be returned once her puppies are weaned and independent (around 5 weeks)

  • During her stay, you are more than welcome to visit her and her puppies! You will receive many photos and videos!

  • For Guardian Boys (male puppies purchased from us), you are paid 30 - 50% of the charged fee per successful siring.

  • We have a guardianship contract to protect YOU and US!
